New students, beginners or experienced karate-ka welcome             

                               

We are a traditional karate club (Shotokan school) based in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. We are affiliated to the International Association of Shotokan Karate (IASK) headed by Sensei Nicholas Adamou 9th DAN ( one of Kanazawa Kancho's most senior and respected students). The club is run by Sensei Iain Tyrie 5th Dan (IASK) , assisted by Simon Tyrie 1st Dan.  Also teaching at the St. Christopher's dojo is Sensei Jerry Moore 4th Dan ( see Instructor Profiles ). Sensei Steve Marriot 4th Dan (SKIIF) also regularily attends the Warden Hill dojo and helps with teaching. Lessons are held on Saturday mornings 10am to 11.30am at Warden Hill Community Association Hall,Wycombe Way, Luton, LU3 2 BW ( situated behind the Warden Tavern on the A6, New Bedford Road ). Adults and children (over 6 years of age) are welcome to train. Classes are child friendly but still teach traditional shotokan following a lineage from Kancho Hirakazu Kanazawa. Training cost - £4.00 all students (adults and children) Monday evening 7.30pm to 8.30.pm at St. Christophers Church Hall  (behind the Church), Felix Avenue, Round Green, Luton, LU2 7NB.  Adults and children (over 12 years of age) are welcome to train.    Training cost - £4.00 all students.    The club welcomes students from other associations and styles - we believe in enjoying our karate - no politics - no ego - no way/style any better (but just different!).
